This Shahr Ramadhan, we had the blessed opportunity to unravel the comprehensive marvels from Sahifatu-Sajjadiyyah in Lantern of Lights Series done with our special guest Sis Syeda Mehr Mustafa who is an academic and has been researching on spirituality and on the supplications and whispered prayers from our holy Imam Sajjad a.s. for the last 7 years. Alhamdulillah sis Nasim Walji Pirmohamed had the honour of hosting this soulful series.
The entire podcast series offers an exquisite understanding of the supplication in a nutshell. The supplication itself has many deeper reflections and interpretations, many ways to look at it – where key areas were identified and explained.

لْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِحَمْدِهِ
Praise belongs to God who guided us to His praise
وَجَعَلَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، لِنَكُونَ لِإِحْسَانِهِ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
And placed us among the people of praise, that we might be among the thankful for His beneficence
وَلِيَجْزِيَنَا عَلَى ذلِكَ جَزَآءَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
And that He might recompense us for that with the recompense of the good-doers”

The Sahifah Al Sajjadiyyah is a source of communication that presents a blueprint for nurturing a relationship with Allah through the one on one dialogue of Duas. It is a source of Mercy: a promise of Allah’s Mercy and based in the concept that Allah’s Mercy supersedes his Wrath.
And thirdly, it is a source for our soul transformation where our Imam guides us through our fitrah (nature) and transforms it so we can please Allah.
Thus, the concept is pleasing Allah swt and what better way to understand it than from our fourth Imam Sajjad AS.
