The darkness within our heart,

Yearned for the blessed month of Ramadan

From food and water we did part,

Yet quenched was our soul by the spiritual journey through Ramadan,

As the month did swiftly depart,

Ou barren hands we raise seeking the acceptance of our Ramadan.

What lessons did these days impart?

Of faith, love, patience and forgiveness,

Truly graced through the month of Ramadan.

What duas should we ask on our part?

Of acceptance, change, love and remembrance

“May Allah accept it from us and you”

Praying for a better start,

As we bid adieu to the barakah of Ramadan.

Our hearts feel sad. Our cheeks are damp with tears. As we bid farewell to our beloved friend (Ramaḍān), we reflect on the shortness of its visit.

Is this a metaphor for life? Will it pass by like the blink of an eye?

I should have done more. I shouldn’t have wasted my time.

These are regrets we are all familiar with. However, we still time to make the most and reflect from during this Shahr Ramadhan.

Do you recall Lantern of Lights Ramadan Mental-Health Well-Being Podcasts that we had throughout this month? I’m sure we all tuned in to those fantastic thought-provoking discussions and benefited.

However, this doesn’t mean that because Ramadan has come to an end, we cannot reflect back on those important discussions. We certainly can and in fact we would love to encourage you to take some time out and give a listen to these discussions contributed by some of our qualified experts in their respective fields in helping the community in mental health programs.

We touched upon various topics such as emotional maturity, forgiveness & resentment, relationship conflicts, blame game, practical toolkit to overcome depression & anxiety, couple resolutions, generational trauma, PTSD, emotional understanding and much more!

Taking out time during Shahr Ramadan which is a month filled with blessings, rewards and barakah, you can imagine how much rewards one

Surah Al-Nahl (16:18): “And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them,”

“So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.”Surah Al-Baqarah (2:152)

Allah encourages believers to remember Him and be grateful, promising to remember and acknowledge them in return. Thus, we should end Ramaḍān by thanking Allah for having giving us the tawfīq to worship Him. And at the same time, we should seek His forgiveness for all our deficiencies in this month and the days coming forth InshaAllah.
