Reflections by Sis Nasim Walji Pirmohamed

Can you visualise the moments when you had to bid farewell to your loved one, and it was almost like you didn’t want to let go of your loved one? Reminisce those moments, relive them and feel them one more time! Be grateful for those loving memories and moments before you bid farewell.

Our best friend- Holy Ramadhan, is departing from us v soon. Let us take one moment of feeling this loyal friend that has actually taught us to be. This month has made us feel so happy, so grounded and prepared for us to create our own spiritual lawn that is so lush, our heavenly garden filled roses to blossom. It has given us many opportunities to make the right choices and to feel more focused, determined in navigating ourselves to conscious decisions, with some profound bitesized soul Transformational journeys within. It came with its own heavenly curriculum, i.e., the daily duas, munajaats, our prayers, our social interactions and communal responsibilities act a catalyst to grow within.

In preparing this beautiful garden within, each one has been striving hard to remove all the weeds and bugs before we started planting our soulful seedlings.

Through this spiritual marathon, Allah azza wa jallah in His infinite Mercy laid down specifics and expectations from us, just to mould us and show us our primordial nature, our purity our real self and the hidden potentialities that is buried under ground and that each one of us has! HE SAYS: COME TO ME AND I WILL SHOW YOU WHO YOU REALLY ARE! WOW What an amazing Host He is! Just like a mother who goes out of her way to express her love and tenderness towards her children no matter what the kids do. She still showers her unconditional love towards her children and family members.

Hence, this divine banquet comes once a year with so much warmth, love and mercy. Only to reawaken our souls.

Although this divine feast changed our daily schedules, our routine, and as hard as it felt, it is slowly slipping away. Even though we feel extremely tired, sleep fatigued, our hearts simply don’t want to let go of this divine guest. However, Allah swt commands us to let go, slowly bidding farewell to this soul transforming journey.

Enjoy every breath in this beautiful month, every moment.

If we bind ourselves to our physicality, then our perception remains limited, and we see ourselves—and others, for that matter—as a physical body projected within the narrow stream of linear time.

However, when we can see ourselves beyond our physicality, as a spirit on a journey, we can begin to perceive outside the spaciotemporal restrictions.

Seeing ourselves outside our present time-space reality can allow us to perceive—with an expanded vision—our entire journey through life.

This ability to see ourselves—the complete trajectory of who we are and the direction of our journey—outside of linear time can bring us much clarity, help us break away from many of our false understandings, attain many breakthroughs towards fulfilling our purpose and accelerate our progress towards achieving a more accomplished state of self.
❤❤❤

Practical Take-Aways from this month is to not let go of our heart-to-heart relationship with Allah, our Qur’an connection, our noble traits that we consciously strived to become better humans. The amazing qualities of being more selfless, more caring, more forbearing, and more generous among other beautiful habits that we nurtured in this month. We all carry this light of God; may we continue to manifest God’s light with the same spirit Insha’Allah and motivate one another to grow in His Light and attain salvation and peace in our hearts .

Let us ponder on some of the captions from Imam Sajjad a.s’s du’a in bidding farewell to Shahr Ramadhan and part of the stanzas that reads:

“….bestow it upon us in multiples through Your bounty, Your bounty does not diminish and Your treasures do not decrease…

O Allah, we repent to You in Eid al-Fitr which You have appointed for the faithful a festival and a joy for the believers a time of assembly and gathering, from every misdeed we did, ill work we sent ahead, or evil thought we secretly conceived, the repentance of one who does not harbour a return to sin and who afterwards will not go back to offense, an unswerving repentance rid of doubt and wavering. So accept from us, be pleased with us, and fix us within it”

As we celebrate this glorious day of Eidul Fitr, let us not forget the downtrodden humanity that is suffering and we fervently pray for the Awaited Saviour Imam Al Mahdi ajfs and his imminent return to bring global peace and social justice. And this requires each one of us to be part of this universal mandate in the selfless services of our holy Imam Al Mahdi ajfs.

May Allah swt bless you all for all your beautiful efforts during this auspicious month of Ramadhan and you all enjoy a very blessed Eidul Fitr and bask in His Divine light and guidance.

With my heartfelt prayers of gratitude ✨️
